About Us
Our story
The Community Church story is an exciting one of God at work against all odds. The closure of the old Gospel Hall in Cinderford at the turn of the century could have been the end but instead new life was birthed. In 2006 a small group of Christians launched the Community Church in the same building with the support of nearby Glebe Chapel Newent.
Headed up by Tim & Katrina Cracknell the replanted church has moved to various premises to accommodate the growing numbers and had also expanded the Station Street premises. Now, 20 years later, the church has grown in numbers, the average age has decreased and in September 2025 we moved to a larger premises on Foxes Bridge Road. Here we are developing the former snooker hall into a church and community hub.
In 2021 we were requested to help a small struggling church in Ross. This has become a second location, and our Sunday services are now a unique hybrid service coming live from both Cinderford and Ross. Since the relaunch of the Ross church in 2024 we have been encouraged to see numbers growing there too and baptisms have taken place for the first time in 20 years.
God is on the move, and we want to follow him as he leads us forward into all that he plans to accomplish across the Forest and the Wye. We’d love you to become part of this exciting story!

Pastor & Senior Leader
Tim is our Senior Pastor across both locations, part of the Senior Leadership Team and is on our Board of Trustees. He's married to Katrina.
Katrina Cracknell
Pastoral Care Leader
Katrina heads up our Pastoral Care Team in the church. She also keeps Tim in check as his wife.
Jon Jones
Senior Leader
Jon is part of the Senior Leadership Team, and Head of our Technical Team. Jon is married to Rosie and they have two children.
Richard Angell
Senior leader
Richard is part of the Senior Leadership Team and together with Sue, oversees our Home Groups and leads a group. Oh…he is also a mad Watford fan!
Sue Angell
Sunday Children Lead
Sue is our vastly experienced Children’s Sunday Team leader. Married to Richard, they oversee our Home Groups.
Dan Hawken
Family & Outreach Worker
Dan heads up our Children and Youth Teams works across both locations. Dan is married to Jess and they have three boys.
Katie Lovegood
Ministry Support
Katie is part of the staff team providing administrative support working from the church office. She is married to Lucius and they have two children.
